About us

The property in which the reserve is located has approximately 54 hectares of extension, which have belonged to national capital for more than 40 years.

 

The forest patch registered as Reserva Los Coyotes, with the Costa Rica’ n Network of Natural Reserves, measures approximately 25 hectares. The rest of the land was dedicated in the past to agricultural activities. Currently the organization is in process of renovation, to venture into welfare tourism projects.

In recognition of its efforts in conservation, it was awarded the Blue Flag Ecological Award and the certification "Actions for greenhouse gases compensation" with the Allies Climate Change Program (CCA), for several consecutive years.
